The Southern Association Baseball Conference is once again gathering in Birmingham to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the opening of Rickwood Field. The conference is an annual meeting of writers, historians, fans and former players of the Southern Association teams from across the South. Join us on Friday, March 5th for a Dutch treat dinner at Jim and Nick’s BBQ on Oxmoor Road in Homewood (205-945-0043) beginning at 6:00pm. On Saturday, March 6th we will convene at historic Rickwood Field from 9:00am to 3:00pm to hear presentations and tour this wonderful facility.
